Roma History

Roma Restaurant was founded by our grandfather, George Tavolilla, in May 1931, His son John was involved in the business from the time he was a little boy. John worked hard to preserve and expand Roma to its present stature. Since John’s passing, his two sons, Michael and John, are now the third generation of Tavolillas to carry on the family tradition. For the past 82 years, Roma has maintained its presence in the Village of Tuckahoe and remained active in the community.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our loyal following who have been supporting us with three generations of their families throughout the years. We welcome newcomers to the area and invite them to become part of the Roma Restaurant tradition.
